All the Virgo birthdays are behind us – the Bride, Aunt Kiki, the Bug. and my sister Kay too. So naturally we flew to LA for my birthday so I could squeeze me some twins!
The weather was exceptional, we would swim in the pool every day. I met the nascent neighborhood swim team, all girls under two singing and playing “the Wheels on the Bus.” We even got to visit with fun cousins from Glendale!
The girls are nineteen months old now. We play hide and seek and cuddle continuously. Their smiles melt my heart. My knees managed to survive the steps of their mountain home and the constant push and pull from floor to standing. This birthday finds me an old grandmother. Why am I surprised?
I called the baby Rocker a perpetual motion machine and the girls are full of his energy and determination with a major dose of curiosity and caring from their Mother Kiki. They live across the street from their elementary school so our days were filled with bells and children’s laughter. The girls are brilliant toddlers, saying two and three word sentences; hat on, cracker please, foot stuck!
But the most beautiful thing is watching your child become a parent. A loving, engaged, thoughtful father. He and his Bride are truly CO parenting. I am missing them already.

Love.
Enjoy.
